So i'm trying to move everything over to my USB from my SD and using GC injects was just the next logical step however I'm having nothing but trouble trying to get it running.
After getting a black screen a few times I managed to get it to boot Nintendon't however it always starts "failed to create memory card" or something to that affect.
I did manage to get past this once by using an old backup of nintendon't from 2016 but even then it failed to load kernel.

How do I get it to create a memory card

FYI i have the inject installed to USB and nintendon't on the correct file on the SD card. Its formatted to fat32 with 32kb clusters

Download and install the WiiU Nintendont Channel (NOT the forwarder Version) from USB Helper. Install it using WUP Installer in WiiU Mode, not vWii. WiiU USB Helper I think has 2 versions of Nintendont, one is the Forwarder version and the other is the Channel Version, make sure you download the Channel Version. I think the channel version is just labeled "Nintendont", and the Forwarder version is labeled "Nintendont Forwarder".

After you install the Nintendont Channel via WUP Installer, you will see it on your WiiU Home Menu. Afte that, you can put all your Gamecube ISO's on your SD Card.

Example:
SD:/games/name of game 1/game.iso
SD:/games/name of game 2/game.iso

Multi-Disc Games:
SD:/games/name of game 1/game.iso
SD:/games/name of game 1/disc2.iso

If the "games" folder is not on the root of your SD Card, just create it.

And since you can run Nintendont from the WiiU Home Menu and not from vWii, it allows you to use the Gamepad as the Screen AND Controller. This is how I have been playing my gamecube games on my WiiU, I have all the old Resident Evil games, and they are playing perfectly. And this way you wont have a bunch of Gamecube Game Icons on your WiiU Main Menu. All of your Gamecube games in the "games" folder will show up when you launch Nintendont. You can even use GCT cheat files to enable and play with Action Replay cheats.

If you need anymore help please send me a PM, I will be happy to help you with what ever I can.
