PS1/2 having issues

hi guys i have two issues in my modded ps2 it makes noises when i put a cdr in and has screen problem in ps1 backups.
ps. the issue with cdr is only with ps2 cd backups.

PS1 Backups have to be on a CD-R
and PS2 Backups have to be on a DVD-R.

Also you need to have a FAT for PS1 Backups

He might be using CDs for CD media PS2 game backups. Not everything for the system was on DVD. As for the sound, it might just be the disc speed, since it goes a lot faster with CDs to read the information. Try a regular PS2 CD if you own any and find out if its the same thing.

Like Delta said, PS2 does have some games which uses CD-R instead of DVD...
Sounds like your CD laser is dying 0.o

PS2 uses 3 different formats for games, CDs, single layered DVDs and dual layered DVDs. CDs are recognizable by two things, the colour (other than a budget release I know of, all PS2 CD game discs are blue) and secondly, the fact the game case and disc will have a CD logo.

okay so what speed and format do i need to burn cdr ps2 games and how to fix ps1 backups screen issue

Well, I don't know about making CD copies, but I might be able to help with the screen problems. If I know what they are. What are they doing, and what type of cable are you using with your TV?
