I was using my R4 today, and I thought, "Why hasn't my system been hacked like my Wii yet? I awaited a hack for my DSi, and Sudohax had already been patched by Nintendo. It would at least seem that we would have a little bit of results, but I have only seen stuff from Team Twiizers. What about everyone else?

Some parts of the 3DS have been decrypted.
The DSi is hacked but since Ninty patched the DSi ware to SD function it won't work anymore.

Besides that the 3DS is the next gen and gets more attention to it.
Team Twiizers has achieved DSi mode homebrew from the internal SD card and thats pretty much what they wanted.

Not yet.

We don't know how the 3DS handles saves and data in RAM etc.
It will take another ~year before we should see something similar like the Wii with the original Twilight hack.

It could take longer because Ninty could have made a better security.
It could also be like the 360 (although somewhat unlikely) that the 3DS is "secure" from a software point of view.

Time will tell when and how the 3DS will get hacked.

This is speculation that I elaborated on in the hacking theory thread, but I think the 3DS runs games in a hypervisor. This would mean breaking the hypervisor in on top of finding an exploit. This also means the security is harder to break.

don't know how Ninty feels about that.

"Lets give them hax0rz false hopes by using a bad security for everything, then apply über1337z0rs hax and security when they try to play a game! muhahahaha!!!!"

Thats probably along the lines of what was said in their meeting

Nah it's more likely that nintedo will hand out flashcards with pre installed games to everyone who bought the 3DS and lets them register the flashcards for encryption keys instead of stars/coins.

Then Ninty will help the dumb pirates by hosting the entire collection of all of their games on their main website with a picture of Miyamoto and 3 x's beneath it
