Gaming Harvest Moon DS Save

I was playing Harvest Moon DS half-way and the battery went out..

I went back to the game after the battery was recharged but when I tried to LOAD my Dairy, it jammed there.
It could still play a NEW GAME though.......... But whenever I want to load, it cocks up.

It doesn't seems like the ROM's fault but the .SAV file...
Wouldn't life be a ***** if .SAV files are gonna corrupt this easily? Moreover, I wasn't even saving when the battery when dead.

Anyway to back up, so won't lose the .SAV files anymore?

well, i dont know much about sav's or harvest moon. but when the red light comes on, plug it in...if your not around your charger, close it and hope it can survive in sleep mode till you are...or if your a genius, you could rig the unit with solar panels and set it in the sun
