There was a girl version of Back to Nature also, it just has never been in English.

Actually there was one for PSP. IT was released as Harvest Moon Boy and Girl. They both are ports of the original psx Harvest Moon: Back to Nature. They are in 100% english

Anyway, no one should play this game. They should be playing the japanese version of what is being called "Shining Sun and Friends". NOW! Also Rune Factory 2 is looking nice! I shall play that RIGHT NOW!

The most awesome thing about this game, IMO, is that you can marry a master thief that tries to steal your blue feather and gets proposed to.

Harvest Moon: Boy Meets Girl for GBC was my first one, and you could play as a girl then, too.

HM DS is the worst HM to exist, tap-dancing away with the reward previously owned by "A Wonderful Life". Ironic, that.

Rune Factory was a good spin-off, but I can see why some HM core fans (read: idiots) would be turned off by it.

Meanwhile, I'll be playing Kira Kira Taiyou to Nakama Tachi until Island of Happiness comes out in English, because it's a proper HM on the DS and its fucking good. It's not GBC3 good, but then nothing is.

IoH is gonna be amazing. Rune Factory is one of the best to date, and I've been a core HM fan longer than I've been playing Pokemon (and I was one of the first, and I'll be one of the last)...
But HM DS wasn't the worst. Yes, it was a terrible, terrible abomination, a Frankensteinish fusion of GBA gameplay and tacked-on features that made it cumbersome and annoying, with glitches every other second and an inability to get buckwheat noodles, but not the worst. The worst was Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland for PS2. I wanted to be able to die without regret, and then I played it. That game will haunt me for the rest of my days.
