Hardware Hardmod not working

hey there. So, after a whole day of soldering I was able to successfully boot into the bootrom blue menu and got this (only touchscreen is showing something, don't know it it is good or bad):
BOOTROM 8046
ERRCODE: 00F800FE
00000000 00000000
00000400 00000000
But when I connect it to PC, win32diskimager says when trying to read "access denied".
What can cause the problem?
1. bad soldering/bad pins (on SD card adapter or on 3ds)
2. Not supported sd card reader (I am using the one in my notebook)
3. I have done something totally wrong and I don't know what
Nintendo can normally boot and is fully working so, what have I done wrong?

Might be the reader. I use the anker reader. I've done many hardmods and have never had a problem with it.

I read somewhere that does not matter if just one screen is blue or if both of them are, it's likely random.
And I also read that n3ds are really picky when we talk about card readers

To get any o the "supported" sd card readers, I would have to wait like a month or even longer.

Start waiting... the ones listed are known to work... evidently, what you have, will not work.

Don't argue with @vb_encryption_vb about hardmods

With the N3DS it's chipset dependant. Of course there is others that work, just not listed because a handful of members said hey these 5 to 6 are known to be workings.

So you have a few options.

1. Order what is known to work.

2. Find whatever others you have or can get access to and see if something works. Once you have ran through all those, order what is known to work.
