I want to self hardmod (only temporary) because I bricked my 3DS using Dok3's safea9lhinstaller to get rid of 2.0. Is there anything I can use to replace solder?

@d0k3 Is there anything to unbrick with other than restoring a valid NAND backup? Because I think it might be because firm0/1 is corrupted.

No. And I'd guess if you had to ask this question you're not qualified to do the hardmod yourself....

No, just wondering so I don't have to go out and buy solder, and I've seen people do it successfully with things like electrical tape before

Well I certainly wouldn't trust it.

Well what's the worst that can happen, his 3DS is already a paperweight.

Using electrical tape will give you a bad time ;-)

This is the exact situation I would attempt it myself. It's already pooched, who cares?

    Nowhere
This is why i decided not to do another downgrade and just stick with emunand. I'm not dumb enough to install stuff to sysnand, so bricking isn't an issue. SD card space was never an issue, nor boot times since I rarely turn my 3ds off. In terms of a hardmod, you might be able to pay someone else to do it, but sending it to them might not be the most reliable. You would have to see who in your area could do something like that.

Mods, close the thread, I'm planning on paying for a hardmod instead.
