Who else here has used a harddrive with switch wether through tinfoil, goldleaf, dbi,sx os. Doesnt matter.

Sometimes when i plug in the usb-c for my harddrive the drive wont be recognized that plugin no matter what i do or long i wait.

If i replug it sometimes work. But i couldnt find anything identifying why this is exactly.
The only thing i noticed is, that when sometimes plugging in that an icon for charging lights up. This is when the drive ussually (always maybe) works.
When the switch doesnt get that power icon charging, the drive doesnt seem seen. However my harddrive is still powered on since light is burning and i can hear it.

Ussually the no charge icon happens if the ac adapter was already connected to a powersocket. replugging seems to help BUT not always... sometimes even plugging normally still gets you no charge icon...

I am using a simple usb c hub, is there something im doing wrong, is there a specifc order for connecting a drive with a hub or something?

So, is the hub connected to power?

It seems a power delivery failure. That means it gets not enough power as it should for working.

If the hub supports it, get a 45W charger or even a 65W charger.

Otherwise buy a better hub.
