Hey GBATemp,
My PS3 needs a new hard drive.
Just wondering if these will get the job done.
I know the physical specs are correct, but I don't know if the technical specs are. Please include the number of whichever hard drive is correct.

1.Seagate Momentus 5400.5 120GB SATA/300 5400RPM 8MB 2.5" Hard Drive

2.Seagate Momentus 5400.3 120GB SATA/150
5400RPM 8MB 2.5" Hard Drive

3.Seagate Momentus 5400.6 120GB SATA/300
5400RPM 8MB 2.5" Hard Drive

4.Seagate Momentus 5400.4 120GB SATA/300 5400RPM 8MB 2.5" Hard Drive

5.Seagate Momentus 5400 PSD 120GB SATA/150 5400RPM 8MB 2.5" Hybrid Hard Drive w/256MB Onboard Flash Memory

Before you say they're all the same, notice the change in decimal after the first "5400" in numbers 1-4.
Any help is appreciated.

Of the selection, drive 2 would work the best. PS3 has to operate in 150 MBs operation to avoid jittering. It also cannot make effective use of flash memory, nso you won't see any benefit in drive 5. That aside, I strongly advise against using a SeaGate drive. Every single SeaGate drive I have ever seen, used, or heard of (via friends), has died by now. Their failure rates are astronomic.

If possible, try to stick with WD or Samsung drives. Hitachi drives aren't bad, but they're not great either.
