I wonder what the graphical updates are [IMG]. It's probably HDR lighting and stuff

    Ahem.

SERIOUSLY WORKING ON THIS INSTEAD OF EPISODE 3??

Alright I accept a Mac version, those guys should play this gem but shit its good looking enough and I don't need anything else to improve the games. Spend the time on Ep3 because us twats wont shut up about it until its out.

    Valve got multiple development teams.
The Team who made EP1 are working on EP3 while the rest is doing stuff like this I think. Sadly it seems the EP1 Team froze in time or else we would already be playing EP3.

Shame albeit glad that Episode 2 needed no update apart from support.

(A little offtopic): Is it just me or can anyone else run Half Life 2: Episode 2 on their laptop on full graphics with no lag hardly whatsoever. I'm surprised because the graphics are pretty detailed and yet the Audio/Video recommends full and high on everything.

This is weird to me considering I can't run L4D or Borderlands very well on this yet Half Life 2 with the same graphics runs flawlessly.

The difference is that L4D has got a newer version of the engine and due to the zombies more stuff is going on. Also L4D needs a much better CPU then what EP2 needs because of the AI Director.
L4D got lots of small graphical updates which most people don't even notice.

it just shows how good the source engine is optimized [IMG]
compared to engines which are horrible inefficient like the cryengine which would probably make your laptop explode
