Given that the game is by a company that manufactures flashcarts, I suspect they thought of that (they can't seriously think their sales all come from people interested in homebrew, can they?)

But the thing is... it's probably absurdly cheap to make and distribute, too. (A CD is much much cheaper than an actual cart.) So even if the vast majority of people pirate it, they can still have a few jewel cases on the shelf in hentai stores, and they'll probably get enough curious people buying it to make up their low costs.

Plus, (and I suspect this is another reason) it gives them a legal defense for their flashcart, since they can point out at least one legitimate, commercial use for it. If they release a whole line of games like this, their defense becomes even better -- it's much much cheaper for them to sell one cart and a bunch of CDs, than to sell a whole bunch of (comparatively) expensive carts.

There was, of course, RE: Deadly Silence, and I believe Moon will also garner an M-rating.

But the content in those games is a far cry from the content that will be in this hentai game. Now, for the Asian market, they may feel the opposite, but for whatever insane reason, us Americans (and I do NOT include myself -- just using a figure of speech) consider blood & guts okay, but tits and ass not so much...
