ahh ok, i guess i can wait for another update, thanks xist, u have been great help, as for compiling

yah, i dont know how to do that, does it take a lot of skill? If not, what would I have to compile?

You need the PSPSDK and the knowledge of how to actually use it. I'm guessing you don't have either of those things....

As i keep saying this is very embryonic at the moment and unless you REALLY want to play Minesweeper on your PSP what's the point?

I have a Linux computer

But not the knowledge to use PSPSDK. Atleast I seen the hello world and know things are possible. I'll wait until something more useful comes out. I don't need CFW but I would like to do these things:

* Use PSP Filer to move and copy files around and between the 16 GB storage and M2
* Use emulators to play games
* Go on PSN without updating
* Play the games I have on UMD without paying for them again

The last two might need CFW, but if I recall Chick HEN said it wouldn't run ISOs or CFW. But it can run homebrew, and GEN-A is a homebrew

How come if it's not compiled, how come it says it is?

Only small homebrew can be used via this loader at the moment so no emulators.

To go on PSN without updating and play UMD games you have without re-buying requires CFW which will take a while as the OFW is different from normal PSPs.

Oh awesome! The PSP CFW scene might be back soon!
The PSP is long dead for me since the early PSP2000 days. I mean, I can't really call CFW that temporary ISO-loader thingy you always lose on hard reset. They haven't even arsed to crack the pre-IPL.

Ya basically any homebrew that loads files off the memory stick (other than data in the eboot.pbp itself) won't work. What I was saying it I want to run emulators, and it seems that soon it will.

They don't plan on CFW, but neither did ChickHen... Sony should just allow people to play their UMD Games, they said they were going to make a plan, I wonder if we could sue them because that's false advertising...

What exactly do you want this for anyway? There's hardly any point in using it since it's so limited at the moment?

IT'S DEVELOPMENT. Of course it's limited now!

The topic title is misleading.

WHO CHANGED THE TOPIC TITLE?!

Uhh... Hasn't it already been half cracked?
