Can i please ask when i ftp to the usr/share/games folder do i need to put the games in some type of folder?
Will zip files work or should i extract?
Will they appear in the Nes or Snes section if my mini Snes is dual boot.
Thanks

Tried running msx game penguin adventure from snes mini menu (msx command line as per instructions) but just get black screen and bounced back to menu.

I even tried copying the bios files to the game folder. Same problem.

However starting retroarch first and loading the core and game from there works.

Any ideas ? I used the instructions in the core which says to use the "msx" bin. I've not had any problems with any other cores. I must admit I do find it confusing sometimes as to which core certain games need especially the whole msx and neogeo stuff.

If It's running through retroarch It's gotta be something with the command line.

mmh is there a way to play duck hunt on the mini snes?
i knew that the zapper is needed but that is not possible on the mini nes/snes.
and the zapper doesnt work with a led tv.

but is there a way to play it?

SNES Classic - Convert Entire NES Classic Set-Up to work on the SNES Classic, and vice-versa!

You may have spent an inordinate amount of time putting together your own personal set-up on the NES Classic OR the SNES Classic! This video shows how to convert one set to the other, command line wise, so that you can run on either system:) Enjoy!

I updated my snes9x retroarch core for Far East of Eden Zero but I get a memory backup error when booting and prompted to reset.

I reset the game within retroarch but I continue to get the same error. Am I missing a step here?

Only way to run Duck Hunt for now is using MAME and the Vs Duck Hunt. Be forewarned, it is very sensitive! But, if you use a little finesse it is somewhat playable:)

So where exactly do I put the bios files? Say for example neogeo.zip Do I just put that in the the Folders Manager section in the main console folder? Sorry I wish there as an easier way to sift through almost 800 pages in this thread.

Also, if I want to apply the hack to another SNESC with all of my settings, roms, etc, can I just plug the new SNESC in and click Synchronize with SNES mini and done?

I got your private message. I just did not have a good chance to respond to it yet. You can grab my personal Core Set from here...

https://github.com/KMFDManic/NESC-SNESC-Modifications/releases/

For NEO-GEO, you can install the HMODS I have in the bios subsection, depending on which Arcade Core you install. They are designated and named, accordingly.

As far as games per folder, stick to 60 or less.

Let me know if you need anymore assistance.

Thanks for your response KMFDManic.
I installed the modules from your Github site.
It still doesn't work for me.

I have the roms from MAME2003_MAME0.78

I have both the _km_bios_neogeo_mame2003_req and the _km_mame2003_10_26_17 modules installed from the GitHub page.
I’ve changed the command line to /bin/mame2003 as outlined in the module info.
Am I supposed to use NeoGeo roms with these modules?
How do I use the Mame roms?

I still can’t get them to work. What am I missing??

Does the version MAME need to match with the same module?

For ex: Mame2003 module will only work with Mame2003 roms?

Is it the same with FBA roms?

So damn confused…bleh

Also, with sizing, I noticed at the beginning of my mod, my size showed 0 / 300mb
I've since added about 100 roms, with covers, modules, and now it shows 113.6mb / 177.4mb
Is that right? Not sure why the 300mb turned into 177.4mb
I ensured all compress settings are enabled as well.

Please let me know if this looks right or what I'm missing...thank you!

300mb are only when No Mini snes is Connect to hakchi.
The Mini snes has Not 300mb to Install Games.
And the Ingame saves, save state and rewind Take space from it.
The installed Mods Take space from it too.

The 300mb was for the nes classic. It’s now just the default for both. But changes when plugged in after getting the real reading.
