Hacking Hacking WiiU after vWii

So I forget exactly how I did it but a few years back I managed to hack my vWii without touching the WiiU portion… or maybe very little of it? Is it still safe to hack the wiiU aspect now even if the vWii is already hacked?

Yup, the vWii was hacked long before the Wii U proper, so many of us had a hacked vWii for ages before we ever got to mod the Wii U side. And when we finally were able to, the vWii was unaffected by the changes we made on the Wii U side.

My mind is a little hazy on the memories, but if memory serves me right, we actually hacked the vWii on the day of the Wii U's release. There were also a share of bricked vWiis that day because people were trying all the old Wii methods of softmodding exactly as they were but on the vWii, when some things (like installing particular wads) would need to be adjusted for the vWii else they lead to bricks.

Awesome. Thank you so much. I was paranoid after years of having it collect dust I was going to have to get a new one if I wanted the main Wii U hacked.

quick follow up. Is it safe to format the WiiU after the vWii has been hacked? And reinstall the Wii apps after? More paranoid about tying my main account to the hack and formatting seems like the least pain in the butt way to clear any info. I think I may know the answer to this though….
