Hey guys,

So I have recently been thinking about hacking my 3DS, however I am reluctant because of stories of peoples 3DS being hacked by Nintendo or the 3DS itself.

How likely is it that my 3DS would be bricked if i Hacked it?

Your likelyhood is basically 0. its very easy even if something happened to get it fixed.

So I only own one 3DS, but would hate to lose access to my games because of hacking. I have a fair bit of experience with hacking consoles (psp, vita, ps1, ps2..) however I wasn't so worried about it as with this, (except maybe with the Vita a little).

Would you then say that it should really be fine? Also, did you hack yours and how long has it been hacked? any issues? and any things I should maybe be warned about?

Thanks for your help so far by the way =D

Sweet, I'll look into it tomorrow then I think. I'll use the link you sent me samhhhhh, what was the reason you said not to follow video guides?
Either outdated or dangerous (files modified, etc) that site is easy to use and always updated

So explain if you could?

My main reason for hacking is to dump the bios, to dump my games (for emulation on computer) and also to install all my games onto 1 SD card. Would Nintendo class this as piracy?
No - they don't ban for piracy as they don't know UNLESS you're playing an unreleased game early

They also have no idea if you do that lmao

No, its when your backups go online Nintendo classes it as piracy, though they only find out when you actually install the games. Then, you are banned from going to the eShop or playing online. Essentially, once your banned, there is no turning back from piracy.

No definitely not from being dumped yourself.

But how would they be able to differentiate my owned dump which is now installed on an SD and a downloaded one from the internet?

Sorry, I just want to be sure not to break my 3DS haha =D

No they wouldn't be able to tell

The only way is if you're playing games that have been leaked BEFORE release date (which is piracy)

As long as you do all the safety stuff they wont even know you have hacked ur 3ds w/ an exploit, let alone CFW

Edit: Spelling (explot -> exploit)

You will not be banned for piracy, only for playing unreleased games online.
