So this lovely gem was just plucked from the ReSwitched Discord. If you need any other reason to not use Atmosphere/ignore RS here's a prime example.

They hacked a console to remove its DRM...so they can add their own DRM. You know, to make sure we wouldn't do things they *disapprove of*.

I hate this hacking scene so much. When a for-profit company wins the hacking scene you know we've come under dark times.

They are not adding any DRM... They are simply discussing alternative methods of pathing FS to accept non signed NCA files to run without sig patches.

It's a very relevant issue, as currently FS keeps telling us the NCA is corrupted due to the lack of a fixed key signing patch

They added protection against backup loading? I'm sorry, but this is fucking bullshit. Just because you think something is not right does not give you rights to restrict it from everyone else.

Calm down, man. If you read above, it clearly is part of a joke and the commits have not been made to the repo (no commits for 2 weeks now). Also, even if they did do that, anyone else can fork the repo and remove those commits because its open source which was noted above as well.

lmao it was a joke, who tf is going to set up a central homebrew signing system? Atmo is open source anyway so anyone can just release an edited version with the public key modified to support a private key that everyone can get. And lmao at "not using atmosphere", most of the stuff we had (including SX OS) is using atmo code somewhere, or has used the research that reswitched has done..

Well SciresM has already stated that he isn't planning on implementing anti-piracy in the CFW. And even if he or someone else did, it can still be easily removed making it pointless to implement in the first place.
