Hacking Hack VC wads?

I've seen guides and stuff on how to hack FFCC: MLaaK and Helix (I still can't get the wad to install...) but can you hack VC wads? Like using wad unpacker, U8extr, etc.

yeah, i shrank SSB to only 162 blocks by replacing the rom in the 00000005.app file.

I did this too but once i beat master hand it froze at the ending credits and will only work with 1 controller not 2 players, but original did that also. you get that working by chance?
