Having had a look at the various patches different people recommend applying to ISO's (wiibirckblocker, trucha etc) im just wondering if theres a step-by-step guide to doing this? Im absolutely baffled by what im supposed to be doing, depsite looking through the wiki on this site.

If you just want to burn a normal wii game, burn it like a normal dvd. Just load the iso in your fav burning program at around 4x and you're good to go.

thanks for the replies. I wii toolkit whilst peroozing the wiki, but the problem is I dont know when/why I should use these various different programs?

If I do go ahead ill be using a key clip with wiikey firmware, if that makes any difference?

Nintendo occasionally throws an update in with their games. If you are NTSC and accidentally update with PAL *and visa versa* it can brick your wii.

Wii Brick Blocker - Removes the update from the wii iso. This is essentially useless for you because the new wiikey firmware lets you disable updates in the setup.

RegionFrii - lets you play out of region games, though the wiikey allows you to do this as well(an option in the setup disc).

You will probably never need a "trucha signer". Its used to edit the inside of wii isos (as far as i know).

Cheers again, I think im sorted now.

Just to be clear though, so long as I'm running Pal games on a Pal system, im okay to apply the disc updates and my Wiikey will still work with all games, and can just burn the image (without modifying it first) via ISOburn

whoops meant Img Burn! Thanks for all the advice people, ive just opened up my wii and its a DMS so im going to be ordering my key-clip ASAP.

Just as a last note, can anyone recommend a key-clip vendor? Was going to use ozmodchips as he has a presence on these boards, but unfortunately he doesnt sock them

EDIT: Also, whats this .001 error I keep reading about? Is this another I dont need to worry about so long as im burning Pal discs for use on a Pal system?
