I have been scouring 3 different sites including this one tring to figure out what is the best approach to modding my Wii. Inataly I want to get a solderless chip and was looking into the Wasabi Zero. Since this will be used by young users too I need it to be as easy to use as putting a Og copy in. I am worried the I will have the epoxy around the chip to prevent me from putting it on. This is what I got from Wii Drive Chip Database:
Your drive most likely has the following chipset:
* There is a 75% chance the chipset is GC2-D2E and covered in black glue.
* And there is also a 25% chance the chipset is GC2-D2B with cut pins.
The following data is used to calculate and estimate the drive chip:
* LU6187XXXX GC2-D2E and covered in black glue (1 entries)
* LU6175XXXX GC2-D2B with cut pins (1 entries) Derv: 616562
* LU616946716 - Entered serial - middle point
* LU6168XXXX GC2-D2E and covered in black glue (1 entries) Derv: 97333
* LU6168XXXX GC2-D2E and covered in black glue (1 entries)

So I assume I have a GC2-D2E. What can I use with this chip. Wasabi has it in there list. Will the pins e cut? Epoxy?
Alternatively is the softmod. How easy it to use for youngsters? What game are NOT working if its 90% computable.
