Hardware Guess who bought a PS3!

yay for me.

just got a ps3! and its even a 60gb backward compatable ps3!
now the problem is... its a japanese ps3... and im in australia... bummer...

i hear ps3 games will work, but not blurays (wrong blu-ray region)... and obviously ps2 backwards compatibility 'doesnt work'... (wrong region, it works btw).
firmware 3.14, so jailbreakable...


the question is, now with the whole "jail break" solution, is there currently a way to do all of this stuff region free?
im sure the answer is no, but hoping there is.

how close do you think the scene is to "fixing" something like this...
and what are my possibilities with this system?

well future so far seems slim, i mean no workaround for the 3.42 yet

... so i doubt making blu-ray movies and PS2 games region free anytime soon.

and with that said and done, do you guys think i should sell this ps3, and buy a NEW slim.. and JB that...
