I have the G6 Lite.. has anyone been able to get this game to work properly?
I've tried all of the standard things (dofat, notrim, etc.) - to no avail.

Use the AR fix - you can patch the game with DSATM.

Edit:
I just got it working on the G6 Lite - using the above AR code to patch the rom, and used a known-working game renamed to donor.nds. I used DSATM (also found on gbatemp) to patch it and selected the option "trim rom" in the udisk manager.

Could you provide some more details of what I need to do? I have never had to patch a game before (aside from whatever the g6 u-disk manager does..)

1. download DSATM
2. make cheat.txt file in the same directory as DSATM with
YGXE DEE4AA12

020FCB3C 22329203
3. move an old rom which you have confirmed working on the g6 lite to the DSATM dir
4. rename that old rom to donor.nds
5. move GTA-rom to DSATM dir
6. open DSATM
7. load DS game = gta-rom, load cheat.txt, save as will be your new patched rom
8. click on ARM7 fix, click on enable/disable , click on enabled at start yes.
9. click on autopatch game.
10. start the G6 manager.
11. choose the new patched rom and burn it with SAFE mode and ROM TRIM.

I've had zero luck getting this to work. I've followed the above steps and I either get a "save data cannot be accessed" error (using Castlevania OOE as the donor) or up to the Nintendo logo when I used Zookeeper as the donor file.

Tried it with safe mode + trim, and safe mode + no trim; no joy.

What donor rom are you guys using? afaik, I'm on the latest loader 5.1 and whatever the latest firmware is for the actual cart as well.

THANK YOU! I tried and tried for hours to get this working, and with King[NL]'s instructions it now works perfectly! Much respect and many thanks!

EDIT: rs4, I used a Big Bang Mini rom as the donor.nds. The latest cart firmware is v4.8, the latest PC software is loader 5.1.
2nd EDIT: God, Big Bang Mini sucks.

Hi,

I have tried the above method but still unable to let it work. I guess it works slightly better as I could boot the game already. But I'll always get hanged after the Nintendo logo faded. Do I still have to patched the game with save crack or anything else? Btw i'm using G6 Flash cart. Not lite.

Thanks!

First problem I was using an old version of DSATM now using v. 4.3.4 Is this latest?
But I'm still getting errmsg "The save data could not be accessed..."
Is the cheat.txt just an empty file with those two lines of code?
Do I just have keep trying different donor roms until I find one that works?
Thanks for any pointers you can give me.

Has anyone gotten GTA:CW wifi to work with the G6 Lite? I used the xdelta patch from the GBATemp homepage, and the game plays and saves fine so far (20 minutes in). But trying to connect to wifi, even by going into the DS connection settings, just goes into an endless loop that I can't quit.
I'm using G6 lite w/ 4.9A loader and 5.1 UDisk manager.

I can't get it to work properly either : I followed King[NL]'s instructions, but the game crashes after I choose the save game slot.

It is just the type of arm7 file you are using some games that are not wifi and multicard will not work so you must get an arm7 file that is wifi and multicard.

Sorry I didn't reply after my initial post (I've been busy playing games) - I used the good old simcity donor rom and it worked first time. Online mode works OK too.
