So, has anyone besides me gotten a SCDSone with a GREEN system board?

I am not going to say where I got it from untill they get a chance to respond. It's a reputable dealer - so I am doubting its fake - but you never know.

BTW, Don't ask me about how it works with game X, Y, or Z... I bought this strickly for a media and homebrew player.

So far it's been performing well.

Thanks!

Hrmm... well my green is working great so far - so no complaints.

All you other owners - please post if you have green or red.

You shouldn't have to open it up, just look by the metal connectors in the back.

Thanks!

"reputable" means from an official Supercard DS dealer?

strange! Would you tell me, there is a version2 of Supercard DS (green PCB)?

perhaps it is another fake?

Thought the red pcb is original! (i remember this pcb picture from winsunx.com)

Can you pls post a picture of the green pcb Supercard DS?

I wonder if some green boards were used in manufacturing to meet demand. I read that the R4 and SCDSone were made in the same factory? - so maybe thats the reasoning?

If there's "fakes" - I would expect "SuperCard" to make some type a statement - as they did with some of the SD versions.

In the meantime my GREEN is working great - very stable.

Some things I have noticed - its helps to cleanly remove your microSD card from your PC by stopping the device - instead of just ripping the card out. I can count 3 times now when I couldn't get my card to boot - I would re-seat it both in the DS multiple times, as well as reseat the MicroSD card in the SCDSone, with no luck. The cure? Pop it in my PC (using the microSD to SD card adapter), and cleanly remove the device ala XP - then everything works perfectly. Maybe try that before you say it's faulty.

Not saying this is THE fix... but it's been working for me every time.

Also - I have been using a cheap-o PQI microSD card I got online for 17.99 (free shipping & after rebate) - and having NO media issues.

I do not play "backups" so I cannot vouch for that combatibility. I've talked to the dealer, and they assured me its legit - so I am going to take a wait and see approach. Something will surface sooner or later. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying the card.

Thanks!

Red, works great

Well, after weeks of dealing with inconsistent boots - I am going to start the exchange process. Looking at pictures posted by others, I am 99.9% sure that my green system board is thin, and causing the boot issues.

Thanks for all the replies.

I got a SCDS with a green circuit board from realhotstuff.com.
