Am I completely blind or was this just released. Full ability to FTP to SD.

Really makes wiiload and elf/dol TCP loader apps kinda obsolete. (although I used wiiload to install this)

Also great for reducing the chance of incorrectly inserting the SD card ( My friend did it and broke the spring)

or even just eliminating general wear and tear on the spring loader inside the slot.

I much prefer that front door to stay closed but I find the more I am using the SD slot the more I am just leaving it open.

Have fun....or blast me if this is super old news.

Wow! This is indeed extremely handy and easy to use once set up.

Thanks for posting this here!

Yes indeed a nice and nearly complete application. Yesterday I tried it, directory browsing was ok but there were problems with the file transfer. Maybe it was just a timeout error.

What we need next is a homebrew ISO loader, so we don't have to burn games anymore either.

*SLAP*

... moving swiftly on...

Just installed this, it's not bad.

Some problems though (yes, I know it's an early beta, I'm just wondering if anyone else is having the same problems)

1. Can connect with SmartFTP and FlashFXP, but I get no directory listing. Having to use Windows Explorer's built in FTP.
2. Can't copy a folder over. Have to create the folder first, then copy the contents in.

Other than that, it's fantastic! I look forward to it becoming a more polished product. Would be REALLY good to see this integrated directly into the Homebrew Channel.

Yeah .. I can see both screens at the same time (Wii and TV) -- i assume most people can -- you can still browse in Smart and Flash -- you just have to manually type the folder names in. The current folder shows on the server window (TV).
Folder moving / copying limitations seem weird. Sometimes I did get it to copy over folders in Flash. ( copying over MFE worked 2 folders deep )

Im sure(hope) we will see some revisions.

Wiinewz is pretty up-to-date and they just posted it today:

So I don't think you've been missing out. I'm going to set it up tomorrow with Fetch for Mac, I'll provide feedback. I'll also give it a go with CyberDuck, most used Mac client (open source). But how do I contact the developer, "joedj?"

This is a great app, very convenient.
I can transfer files flawlessly.

However, whenever I try to to create a new directory using the windows command line ftp client I get "502 command not implemented."

i'm guessing this is my fault,
does anyone have any practical advice?

I think the best way to sort out all the little problems is to wait for a more complete version. It's clearly not a complete FTP server.

Bring on version 0.0.3!

A nice to do list and his contact info are in the README.

*** TODO LIST *** (in no particular order):

- make STOR work in ASCII mode...maybe?
- read data and control connection at same time
- multiple clients
- multiple transfers for single client
- APPE, REST, RNFR, RNTO, APPE, REST, ABOR, STAT, HELP, FEAT
- usb mass storage
- mem card slots, sb gecko, NAND, dvd
- eliminate die() where possible
- real auth?
- SITE LOAD (load a .dol or .elf)
- SITE LOADER (return to loader)
- handle sd-card removal, allow server to start without sd card
- read-ahead cache patch?
- socket timeouts
- use SO_REUSEADDR ?
- nice UI ;-)

Now 0.0.5.

http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Homebrew_apps/FTPii

changelog up to now.

20080615 0.0.5 Added support for buggy FTP clients that use "LIST -aL" or similar, at the expense of breaking
paths that begin with '-'.
Compiled with corruption-fix and usbstorage libfat patches. (thanks svpe!)
Uncommented FAT read-ahead support (oops)
20080613 0.0.4 Added rename support, as well as append and resume.
Fixed _another_ nasty crash bug introduced in 0.0.3 when creating directories. (thanks nilsk123!)
20080612 0.0.3 Multi-client support (up to 5), using LWPs. Unfortunately this makes things
quite a bit slower, due to the reduced buffer sizes. This has the nice
side-effect of making clients like FileZilla work.
20080609 0.0.2 Fixed display/crash bug when creating directories. (thanks feesh!)
Enabled fat read-ahead caching. Increases read speed from ~80KB/s to ~250KB/s for me. (thanks svpe!)
20080608 0.0.1 Public release.

This program is GREAT.. I haven't had any problems yet and i've been using Windows Explorer to connect. I've transfered files, deleted, files, created folders, deleted folders, and also renamed files and folders. This works great.. So convenient
