Got my OUYA Backer Edition - Initial Thoughts

If I need a special app to get the Wiimote to work, it won't be possible. I have no way of changing keyboard input types. The PS3 Sixaxis works out of the box with OUYA. I just plug it into the USB, and it syncs.

I'll give the PSX emu a shot. I have less experience with that emu, though.

I've posted an update...

The system has potential, but it's not ready for primetime as a media player. Maybe in 2-3 months (with some Android skinners/ROM'ers adding support) it will be a decent investment. Right now, though, my HTPC is my #1 media center.

I'll test emulators tomorrow.

I tested all emulators save for the PSX. There isn't a PSX emulator in the OUYA store yet.

It's not a bad emulator machine.

I have some ideas.
Sonic Adventure, Power Stone and/or Shenmue.

I'm still looking for time to try out the other emulators, but I do have some good news.

The latest system update fixed a huge amount of lag in their UI. There is some lag still, but it's harder to discern. The store UI is also much more appealing. It was night and day.
