I don't get these replies...I played NSMB with my girlfriend the past two days and it's an absolute blast in co-op. In fact, she wanted to play that game even more than I did (and I'm supposed to be the game addicted half of our relationship

).

I pick Super Mario Galaxy 2 becuase Mario is the best selling video game series.It is a very nice feature for when playing with someone who isn't great at the game.I have played many times of this game.

And on the back of the Monster Hunter Tri box, it says that local multiplayer is for arena mode only, so can it really be considered co-op?

House of the Deadverkill is probably not a good date game, but it is a funny and fun co-op light gun game.

Boom Blox/Boom Blox Party is sort of a hyper version of Jenga. It supports 2 player co-op, as well as a versus mode. I think versus may support up to 4.

Seriously speaking, literally going by the term Co-Op, the best game to play with your gf is New Super Mario Bros Wii, reason?
- It will show your compatibility, your co-operation, how well you listen to one another.

Best co-op game I have ever played is Secret of Mana. Which is of course available on the VC.

(MIGHT seem a little outdated, especially depending on when you got into gaming... but I still think it is fantastic fun, especially when played with one or two other people)
