Hardware Good Speakers? Bad Speakers? D=

I'm worried about the speakers being too quiet, like the DS Lite/i ones. Is it a better idea to use headphones/earbuds?

I haven't tried headphones but I think the speakers are plenty sufficient and sound better than what I remember my old DS lites speakers sounding like.

Mine are quieter than the DSi. I don't really mind though.

They sound better but are not as loud. I have tested them with both my DSiXL and my 3DS. Honestly, I think the speakers are fine, since my 3DS supports mp3s and has a better sound channel, I use it as my default music player instead of my DSiXL.

You can change to Stereo, which imo sounds really good by comparison.

ok now sounds better yet not as powerful as my dsi

My 3DS seems a lot quieter than my DS lite. It can get pretty loud with headphones, though.

I fee the 3DS speakers are way louder than those of the DS/i, although they were all right. The XL had good sound too.

And if you're using the right headphones they're loud enough too. Although they're louder playing games compared to listening to music. During games they get too loud, for music they're just all right.
