Gaming good PC games

I love the Warhammer 40K:Dawn of War series, and the expansions.

Anything Relic has done (Homeworld 1&2, Company of Heroes)

Darwinia

WoW

Oblivion

Damn, this could get long. I'll just stop with these...

I loved Crysis, haven't played COD4 because I want to buy that for the multiplayer but my money is focused elsewhere right now.
It's got great graphics and sound, and very fun gameplay. The story isn't the greatest but when I'm playing a shooter I don't really care about the story (Bioshock was an exception to this, that was a fantastic story except for the ending that should be fixed in Bioshock 2).

Well why don't you pirate like any regular person and just buy it later?

Because I don't feel like pirating it when I'll just buy it later, and I already have about 4 other games to get through on the PC alone.

What are you wasting your time on Gbatemp for?

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind w/ mods (much better than Oblivion IMO, plus it runs on my puny PC)
Baldur's Gate II
Deus Ex
GTA (the original)
Sid Meier's Civilization (the series)
Alpha Centauri
Enemy Territory
Monkey Island I & II
Planescape: Torment
Cave Story
Portal

I'm not really interested in RTS, FPS and MMO (unless they're very original), and lately good games are scarce on the PC.

Deus Ex (1 & 2) looks gay compared to our current standards, but the rpg element in a fps works nicely... And it was the first real innovative FPS imho.

Best RPG's on the pc that I played so far:

Planescape: Torment (GREAT STORY and multiple endings)
Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 + expansion packs
NWN1 & 2 only if you like to go online - solo campaigns are bad
Jade Empire

Other games:

Xwing
Tie Fighter
Xwing vs Tie Fighter
Xwing Alliance

now why does nobody port Xwing to the NDS instead of that Starfox junk? Only needs a few polygons...

Stars!
Master of Orion 2

great turnbased scfi strategy games that really need to be ported to the NDS as well...

WoW, CounterStrike, Team Fortress, Half-Life, 11th Hour, Warhammer Online (not out yet, but will be the best game evah), andddddd Vegas 2.

Wolfenstein 3D, Quake, Doom, Dukem Nukem, and a few others. I don't like making lists...unlike someone i could mention.

im gonna get Oblivion and Guild Wars from my bro. heard Deus Ex, looks gay though, and old. anygood?

Deus Ex has to be the FPS with the most freedom for the player on the market (still). The graphics are dated, but the gameplay is much better than Deus Ex 2 (which was developed for consoles and then ported to PC). You have as much freedom as in GTA, but it's backed up by a good story and FPS gameplay. It also contains a lot of RPG elements.

I'll just list the games I own:
Mass Effect

BioShock
Call Of Duty 4
Oblivion
Battlefield 1942/Modern Warfare/2142
Crysis
Fable:TLC
Halo (even though it's getting on a bit, it's still damn fun)
Half-Life Series
Portal
Team Fortress 2
GTA 3/Vice City/San Andreas
Unreal Tournament 3
Age Of Empires/Mythology
Guitar Hero 3
Beyond Good & Evil
Assassin's Creed

And you just know these games are gonna make the list when they come out:
Beyond Good & Evil 2
Battlefield Heroes
Fallout 3
Spore
Fable 2 (crosses fingers for PC release)
