I downgraded the firmware on my Old 3DS from 11.2.0-35 to 9.2.0-20 with no hardmod or another 3DS with CFW!!! From the tutorial by ExtraNullByte http://extranullbyte.com/downgrade-11-2-to-9-2-no-hardmod/ I'm so excited!!!!

Expect that step is no longer needed, you can just downgrade to 2.1 and install A9LH from there. I know I read the guide, but the guide is grossly wrong to imply there's less of a risk bricking with this method. There's the same level of risk of bricking with this method as there is just going straight to A9LH.
Just go all the way and install A9LH

This guide is how to use a 9.2 ctrnand transfer with soundhax. A9LH is installed starting with a 2.1 ctrnand transfer with soundhax. This is useless.

So this guide will give you a safer method to install a custom firmware (LUMA 3DS) with as little risk as possible.

This statement right here is flat wrong. Ctrtransfer regardless if it's from 2.1 or 9.2, comes with the same level of risks. You NOT getting a safer method using this method. You are simply avoiding another method. If you can successfully pull off a ctrtransfer to 9.2, then you can easily do a 2.1 ctrtransfer.

He technically has encouraged himself to do that. this just ctr transfers you to 9.2 nothing special. if he is fine doing 9.2 he should be fine doing 2.1

Except for that even if you didn't want to install A9LH and still have CFW, downgrading to 9.2 is still completely unnecessary.

He technically has encouraged himself to do that. this just ctr transfers you to 9.2 nothing special. if he is fine doing 9.2 he should be fine doing 2.1

Then you should really edit your first post. If he is fine with just 9.2, leave him with that OR at least be gentle the next time you tell someone to continue to 2.1 using that guide.

We aren't taking it as insult, we are pointing out the problems here. This guide is pretending it's a safer alternative, but it's not. Every single ctrtransfer comes with the same level of risk. This is not safer than install A9LH, thus making this method redundant. If someone is willing to go through the same risk of installing this, why not go all the way? Because they aren't safer with this guide as they are with the Guide.
