I like the patching procedure.
1. Download the patching software and run it.
2. Follow it's directions.
3. Put your microSD in the iEDGE.
4. Turn on the DS(i) but don't boot the iEDGE.
5. When the LED stops blinking, the iEDGE is patched, and ready to boot.

and you can put any rom you want lol

like i said before i hope there will be a way of putting something which isn't a rom

like a picutre of yourself or make a pic of a game that isn't on ds like

Actually, that's just a theory that I came up with. There are chances that using a different ROM's information can brick the iEDGE.QUOTE(t_mafia @ Oct 25 2009, 11:08 AM) like i said before i hope there will be a way of putting something which isn't a rom

It's possible, but that would break compatibility with DSi 1.4, as the icon and info matching another game is the reason why it's compatible with 1.4.

Look at all the other flashcart's 1.4 fixes. They all copy an official DS game.
If the icon doesn't match an official DS game, it won't be compatible.

How does this even work. It reminds me of the iPlayer's one minus booting. Does it have like a cpu made for updating or something.

The DS powers it when it is on, so when there's power, it starts updating.

And I got this info from the iEDGE Reference Manual. It's not very clear, so I'm just guessing based on what it says.
And if I'm correct, then you would have to re-insert the card into a DSi or reboot the DSi to use it (because the icon wouldn't change right away).
