WD MyPassport Essential 320 GB costs around 50€ here, but go up until 70€. However I have one and never had only one issue.

Newegg.com has some WD ones for around $79 and free shipping.

They also have slightly cheaper ones from different manufacturers, just not sure how well they'd work with the Wii.

When will people realize... it's not the HD that you have to worry about... it's the USB adapter!

You can find great deals on eBay for cheap HD's, or even in the store... just make sure you get a good USB adapter... there are cheap ones on eBay for $10 that you can get that work.

This will work with ANY hard drive you can find, and I have it, and it works PERFECTLY with the Wii...

So, now, you just have to find a cheap HD!

160gb, $6
500gb, $43
640gb, $55

I am also looking for a good hd at a reasonable price and zidane_genome's suggestion seems very good. So have you tested this setup (that exact usb to sata adapter) with a a variety of hard drives? I would hate to spend the money on a hard drive and have it not work with my Wii (usbloader gx). I guess I could just use it with my pc if so.
