Hacking Goldeneye working Wad

Been having a look around on the forums and all over the net and can't seem to find any trace of what you need to do to get this working.

I'm curious though, the wad that was mention as "floating about", does this actually exist or not?

All I have seen mentioned is something about editing the rom header or sum such, and that it doesn't save, but nothing conclusive. TBH all I want to do is try the multiplayer, and as far as I know Goldeneye can be hacked (at rom level) to unlock all the levels etc, so...at least I'm sure I read that on goldeneyeforever.com


Anyone got info? Has anyone actually played the non saving version?

Yeah there is a working goldeneye wad...
downside is the lacking ability to save.

Haven't gotten that wad on this hdd atm ...

everybody talks about that and confirm there is a wad.
but real information how to edit GE to make it work are not to find... that is very strange specialy for this title everybody wants to play.
Not even a yourtub movie exists.
Until nobody proofs that this works i dont belive it and say its not working.

uhm.. youtube videos are generally used to promote fakes. if a "hack" is on youtube, more often than not it's BS.

Yes i know most stuff on Youtube is fake but in the Case of GE there is nothing.
I heard from some ppl the got it work, need to test it-LOL what is a test need for. if they realy got it to work they dont need to test it because the wont be able to get it better running.
They should give the details how to hack the rom and not talk about useless testing.

Anyway, since they all tell that it runs but without saving, i assume that they hacked and bypassed the save routine of the rom to get it run.
If somebody knows how to do that should try.
There is only one question left, which rom they used for injecting?

I can't find it. On a website that says injections that they have tested, it says none worked. Here are the results:

someone got it to work, with save support.

I forget his/her name. It was posted in the autoinjectuwad thread with a link to an irc channel.

he/she just hasn't released what needs to be hex edited in order to get goldeneye to work.

Wait, If you can hex edit Goldeneye to work, does that mean u can hex edit any WAD to work if you know how?

My understanding of the GE hack, was that it was heavily edited. The risk with all that, is that if you don't know what you're doing, you will easily brick your Wii. You could potentially use that method for any game, but it might be best until they figure out a way to standardize it, helping to keep people from destroying their consoles.
