Then go for decrypt9 (don't know if @TurdPooCharger has anything else up his sleeves gm9wise)
Not really... Yah, there's CTRTransfer in Decrypt9WIP.

@headcrash11, if you're tempted to use the SysNAND Restore (full) option, don't. This can super softbrick the FIRM0/1 custom firmware portion if your NAND image is not absolutely perfect. Since your n2DSXL is failing to restore with the one you have, I'm guessing your copy is corrupted somehow.

Did you empty out the SD card and full Write + Verify checked it in H2testw?

which method do i use? firt time i open decrypt9 tbh. i see
NAND Restore
NAND Restore (forced)
NAND Restore (keep hax)

which option?

sysnand options -> NAND Ctransfer -> something. Don't know what now :/

  1. Download Decrypt9WIP at https://d0k3.secretalgorithm.com/.
    • sdmc:/luma/payloads/Decrypt9WIP.firm
  2. Relocate both *.bin and *.sha CTRTransfer image at:
    • sdmc:/files9/11.5.0-38U_ctrtransfer_n3ds.bin
    • sdmc:/files9/11.5.0-38U_ctrtransfer_n3ds.bin.sha
  3. Insert the card into the n2DSXL, turn it on, and hold (Start) to access Luma3DS chainloader.
  4. Decrypt9WIP → SysNAND Options → CTRTransfer... → Auto CTRNAND Transfer → button combo → 11.5.0-38U_ctrtransfer_n3ds.binetc.

copy luma.firm, luma folder and all the stuff needed for CTRtransfer to a safe destination, format your SD to fat32, check it with h2testw, copy all the important stuff back.
where do i find luma.firm?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

How much free space does your SD card has?

That error looks exactly like the one I got on my USA n3DSXL that was region changed to JPN. Did you region change your n2DSXL before?

Edit - Nevermind. My error occurred in step 3 after CTRTransfer finalized.
i bought this console already hacked, it has 1.69 gb free

Something is wrong with your SD card. Decrypt9WIP did not perform the CTRTransfer. In step #2, it was trying to make copies your essential files like movable.sed, LocalFriendCodeSeed_B, SecureInfo_A, etc.

I think the program needs more free up space to complete the flashing. Try using a different SD card (after it's checked in H2testw).

Yes I'm currently have another SD 16 gb. I'll format it like you mentioned earlier Fat32 32kb

also.. i have a safe copy of all my files from when my 2ds was working correctly.. it's basically a copy and paste. the interesting thing is that i found a folder called BACKUP in my luma folder.. could it be a backup from the sysnand?? I'll send pictures

In the text it says "Here are your backup archives"

Here is what's inside each folder:

As long as you can boot payloads and your NAND is not literally fried, you can fix it. So as I said, put only boot.firm, luma folder and all stuff for CTRTransfer on your SD.
And nothing from your SD can save it (at least I can't see any NAND backups there).

None of those contain a clean copy of your SysNAND *.bin image. The only usable files are the firm0_enc.bak and firm1_enc.bak in the event you lose sighax (boot9strap)... This would not happen unless you have a bad SysNAND Restore (full), which again should never be used unless you have very particular reasons to:
  • Example stupid reason why someone wants to use (full): Downgrade from boot9strap back to arm9loaderhax. Why anyone would want to do that is I guess they have a particular homebrew app that doesn't work in boot9strap custom firmware.
***

That means your best hope is to somehow try CTRTransfer again in Decrypt9WIP with that other SD card after it has been first checked in H2testw before you add files on it.

Another thing to keep in mind is maybe your custom firmware setup isn't up-to-date. Latest you should have are Luma3DS v9.1, boot9strap v1.3, and GodMode9 v1.7.1 on both SD card and CTRNAND. If you're not sure what you have, do this first before using Decrypt9WIP.

That shouldn't be a problem. If he can boot luma config, he has correct luma version for his "insert 9 name here" exploit.

I'm most concerned is his boot9strap version. If he has v1.0, it wouldn't boot Luma3DS v9.1. However, if has boot9strap v1.1, this one can but is said to have several serious enough bugs where v1.2 should be the minimum anyone should use. I think v1.3 is mostly boot speed and smaller file size optimization.

Good news! It was the SD card..
I formated the 16 gb. to fat32 32k
then updated B9S and luma
and proceded with this tutorial https://3ds.hacks.guide/ctrtransfer
thank you so much for you time guys! I really appreciate it :)!!!

If you copy your Nintendo 3DS/<ID0>/<ID1>/... back on the card, look in:
  • System Settings → Data Management → Nintendo 3DS → Software
Should your titles be marked with greyed out X's, you can restore their missing tickets with faketik.
