Ghostbusters DS pics (first ones I think)

IGN has first dibs on what I believe are the first pictures of the DS version of Ghostbusters.

So, it looks like the game is fully 3D graphics-wise, but presented in a top-down view. Except for the car sequences I guess.

It looks like they swapped Ray and Peter's character designs. :/

EDIT: Then again, they might be based on the movie characters but Bill Murray couldn't be that ugly.

Not the best choices for screens are they? Too dark.

I expected a top down view seeing that is what all the previews have been saying, they also say it plays kinda like Cannon Fodder. I reckon the avatars at the bottom right (I'm guessing they show upwhen you got a ghost in beam) are gonna get in the war, they should be shrunken down more. I'd hope that the driving sections were top down to like GTA but that one screens makes it look like those bad DS racers that DSI have done.

I need to see more of this of course, I'm getting the feeling that Red Fly are more interested in the Wii version then the DS game. I hope it turns out better than Mushroom Men DS.

I didn't like the movie the first time, but now I don't know why. I REALLY like it! I think I watched a censored version at first which cut many of the funny scenes.

The cartoon was based on the movie.

The movie is fucking awesome. Ghostbusters II was decent and had its moments but kinda lacked something.

Looks quite good.. but too few shots.. and seems to be the only game were you play with the classic Ghostbusters.

I also always was more of a fan of the cartoon than of the movie

Yeah, and I believe it was Nintendo Power that, a few issues back, had the very first pic, which showed a top-down view of some street and the Ghostbusters mobile.

I guess they went a different route. Hmm...

Well, I can't say I've had high hopes for this game or the Wii version for that matter. Will gladly try it out, though.

I just hope that they don't screw this one up. I mean its possible to fuck up the gameplay if you never saw the movie or cartoon. However, I'm looking forward to a good ghostbuster game. I don't want to play something that had the same faults from the previous NES, Genesis, and Atari.

The Atari version was great and the NES version of New Ghostbusters II (HAL version, not Activision).

I still think the Wii one is the most promising out of the three.
