The .nds file updates the firmware, the rest is the kernel.

This is the official kernel gotten from www.r4i-gold.com (now dead) through Wayback Machine, for the curious.

There is also that link ^ incase the above ones ever disappear, but I didn't try this one myself.

Original post:

It appears as prince caspian on the 3DS home menu with wood v1.64 stuck into the SD, but hits the white screen with a memory card shape and a ?. But when my friend gave me the contents of his SD to copy/paste into mine it gets beyond that into a Loading... screen but is stuck on that.

And here are the contents of the folder:

Any idea?

BTW there seems to be some trouble or something within the team. You might find (newer) links/files at http://r4i-gold.me/ .

As R4I-Gold PRO Card developers and engineers stopped cooperating with the agent, kernel and firmware updated by developers and engineers for the original R4I-Gold PRO Card will be uploaded on www.r4i-gold.me in future (r4i-gold.com domain belongs to the agent ,the engineers of R4I-Gold PRO Card are no longer supported technical updated for any products sold on www.r4i-gold.com), original R4I-Gold PRO Card engineers will continue to upgrade and upload kernel and firmware for the original R4I-Gold PRO Card on www.r4i-gold.me, sorry for any inconvenience caused to you.

That's great to know. My R4 has been fine, so I don't know if I care to upgrade but I'll check it out
