so I was wondering if theres a way to possibly get homebrew on the switch but permanently where I dont have to restart and redo a process. if so, how? I currently have version 4.1.0

The closest we can currently get to the solution you're after is installing a modchip internally that pushes a payload on boot-up.

There's no software solution that auto-launches custom firmware yet.

OP is a bit vague. The files and everything will stay set up even if you turn the console off, by the way. You just have to re-send the payload again, that is it.

As others have said, just use sleep mode. The Switch is a tablet so there is no real need to turn if off like you would another console.

Im with sleep mode, but so many times the console crashes and I have to install dongle.. its on autorcm but still... have to carry the dongle around

Theoretically possible on firmware 3.0.1 and below. Probably won’t ever happen on 4.0+ without a modchip unless someone makes a huge discovery.

What you WILL eventually get on 4.1 is Deja Vu, which will allow you to boot cfw without rcm
