Gaming Getting eShop content with SD card?

I missed the mark (by quite a few years) on getting TLoZ: Four Swords Anniversary Edition DSiWare off the eShop, is there any way I can still get it (preferably without homebrew)? It was free so I'm not concerned about piracy, I just wanna give the game a shot.

I'm not too sure as to what you mean by the SD card bit, but as far as I'm aware you won't be able to get it without homebrew/CFW.

for the 3ds there is and it's super easy, you just have to get the cia and install it like everything else in a cfw console.. (or use thoose fake stores like freeshop)

for the dsi, you need an hacked dsi again, but i can't tell much because i am not sure if it's possible yet to do so...

It's technically possible by using DSiWare injection with seedminer: https://gbatemp.net/threads/seedminer-single-system-dsiware-injection.495685/
But you'd have to follow the same steps as for installing CFW, so there's not much point in using it for that. Best just to install CFW.

There is no official way to get it anymore.
This is because it was a game that could be hacked and it was also an anniversary gift.

Oh sorry, I didn't think it would count as that because it was free, but then again I could just be saying I want the free stuff and use it for paid software, so I understand.

btw you are trying in a 3DS or DSI ?
either way there is no way you can just put in the sd card and run it like that, the console will not care about it (stuff has security measures to prevent stuff like that)
the game even if it was free it's considered like any other paid game, it's nintendo propriety...

in the 3ds, if you have a 3ds with cfw ( https://3ds.hacks.guide/ ) install freeshop or similair, and you will be able to get it (or in sites that host roms, you might find a .cia for that game, you just have to install it trough the fbi homebrew or similair)

I own both a 3DS and DSi so I can try both, I'd rather hack the DSi and use a 3rd party NFC to system transfer it

You need custom firmware. Follow 3ds hack guide (search google for it) or search 5his forum for the seed miner method.

Just gonna mention that both a CIA and a ticket exist for the game you are looking for. We can’t provide either of them, but they aren’t hard to find.
You do need to have a hacked 3DS running a CFW in order to install either of these

You need a CFW and you need to find your own CIAs/tickets. All the applications to get started are in the guide
