Hey guys,

I have not used my 3Ds for about 15 months and have just came back to it with the release of the new Pokémon games. I have come to realise that all of my modded content which has been available on my 3DS has gone and I wanted to get back into modding.

I still have my Gateway chip and have a few cia saves from the last few Pokémon games on a USB. Have forgotten how to install everything back onto my 3DS so I need some help. Was wondering what the best way would be to get my old saves back onto the Nintendo and make the new Pokémon games available on my 3DS. I do wish to play online without the worry of getting banned. When I last used my Nintendo legit CIA's were the best way to do this but I am unsure if that is still the case now. Basically just asking for what I should install onto my Nintendo and how I would go about it.

Also my 3DS is a new one and currently on firmware 9.0.0-20E.

Thank you for any help or advice in advance

Just wanted to ask a few questions. So you use a9lh or menuhax? If you use an emunand, what firmware is it? Is 9.0 for the sysnand or emunand?

Your 3DS is so outdated by now, it honestly would be easier to just start over completely.

You'll want to install a hack called A9LH and use a CFW called Luma. If you want to keep Gateway functionality for cheating, you can also do this to.

Google for more info.

Rescue your save data by dumping them all one-by-one with savedatafiler or JK save manager and re import them after you've set up your 3DS from scratch.

If they have some form of hacks already installed like gateway, the OP can start directly from this section https://3ds.guide/installing-arm9loaderhax
How can they start from there? You have to be on 2.1.0 to install a9lh, and from their first post, they're on 9.0. They have to follow the guide to downgrade first. Plailect took out the OTPless installation for New 3DS systems. Unless you know something I don't.

My apologies, i extracted all my OTP's when A9LH first anounced in January. So i had them on-hand and started from that section when i got around to installing A9LH later.

Ah cheers that is extremely helpful. Which ones would you say are the best ones to get to start off with? Just a lot to look through and I will eventually get through to looking at the majority of them but which ones should I start off with.
My suggestion, Hourglass9 and Decrypt9. Hourglass9 is a good way to safely dump and restore your NAND without risking overwriting your A9LH install. Decrypt9 just has tons of features like dumping games and basically everything.

Do you think freeshop is the best way to get applications and games or is there a better and safer way to do it with a lower risk of getting banned?

I have some CIA games and some .sav files from my old gateway setup. Would you know if there was a way for me to recover these saves onto my new Luma setup which was from the 3dsguide website.
