Yea? Well NOBODY likes a post as arrogant as yours. Our funny little scuffles (You know you were thinking it!) actually have relevance to this thread, unlike this post you didn't spend 2 seconds thinking about. You don't think it's funny, you have a superiority complex.

His post was in good humor, he's Canadian! They don't have a mean bone in their body

My 2C - everyone thinks they know best when it comes to the new computerz. you must have this certain type of part because it's 2.9% better than this one and if u dont u noobz lol.

Depends what you're using the computer for...most people have good advice in this thread but don't take it all as the word of the gospel. people often have different ideas on what you're using the computer for and you need best graphicz etc.

BTW: never listen to advice from ZeWarrior you'll end up with a $4000 pc that can't run shit or a PS3.

BTW2: vista rulez end of story. NOW WE STOP TALKING BOUT VISTA K?!

Which is surprising that he still hasn't infested this thread.

Anyway, I'd go with the HP Pavillon + 8800GT move.
I like my Q6600 (and I loved hunting for it when the G0 stepping came out).

EDIT:
Obvious troll is obvious.

lol@drkupo.

building a PC isn't hard, go find a guide somewhere that includes the mobo that you will be building with it word for word and you should be set. or a guide which explains how to build one and one to show you where the things are. after you screw the mobo in its just a matter of putting the right things in the right spots. you will SAVE SO MUCH MORE MONEY IF YOU BUILD IT.

When i buy my PC im so building it.

E2160(planning to clock to 3.0ghz+), 512mb 8600GT, 2gb dual channel. those are its basic specs and without the monitor it only costs $544 all up.

but if you must buy a stock computer, urza's suggestion is best so far.

Except, I actually know what I talk about, Unlike other people. You either love getting both of us getting modded, or just love insulting other members. STFU with the stupid comments. And I never said anything in this thread.

.

anyways why i posted this reply is because some people posted even less usefull posts then mine saying like "what? your father has to use Vista, that's impossisble you must be dumb" i mean come one, if he said so then that's it, don't argue with a stranger, over the internet, about what his father's boss told him. Anyways i'm a stoner so i love you all

you guys, go get a room and make out or something... just shut up!!!

My dad gave me a vid card today, now i can run all my steam games!!!! INTERGRATED CHIPSETS SUCK!!!!!!

jesus christ, this guy comes here and posts about advice on what to buy, then you flame him and have little fights against eachother?
seriously, get a grip.

OP, what would you like to use the PC for? will you be gaming on it?
will you be watching films? downloading lots of stuff?

if he doesn't think he's going to be able to BUILD a pc, he's not gunna be able to fit a PSU and a new graphics card in it. have some fuckin sense.

dedicated graphics cards are used for graphic intensive apps, like games.
if he doesn't want to game, he won't get one.

@Incomplete, the E2160's max out at 3.2ghz.

Good build. He could take out the E6750 and put in an E2160 and just overclock it to ~ 3 ghz or so though and save about $100

wow.
do you still not understand that he doesn't want to build it? he wants a prebuilt computer.

and you'd have to buy an aftermarket cooler to get an E2160 at those speeds and cool.
don't see the point in buying an E6750, when you can get a Q6600 for the same price.

No. You can put an E2160@ 3Ghz on Stock cooling. And I know, I wasn't saying he was gonna buy it.

if you want to run it at 70c then thats fine.
but seriously, you need it at about 1.4v to get those speeds and that gives off a LOT of heat.

Then an easy solution would be to keep the side of your case opened. Really, You don't need an after market cooler, and even if he did get one it would be cheaper than the E6750.

Overclocking that much greatly reduces the life of the chip, you would be lucky for it to last 3 years.

And building PCs now is very easy. And even fun, I think.

I still have an X2 3800+, and I can play every game out on High. (Sins of a Solar Empire make it go 15 FPS when there are 300+ ships fighting with all settings on Highest and Crysis goes at 20-25 FPS on High - medium PP and Shadows) 3 years is a pretty short lifespan. And you don't want it to die when you are in the middle of something...
