Hi I have a big request. I am trying to follow the tutorial where Jack uses haxchi to add homebrew to the wii u Menu. I actually don’t want to buy the game and the eshop is closed. Is there another alternative? Or I thought of using wup installer gx2 to install brain age because I have files and then use haxchi. Would this work. Would it brick my console. Do I have to do something else before doing. I heard I might have to use mocha. Here is a forum on gbatemp that might but I’m not allowed to send links so the title was
HAXCHI install via NAND installed DS Software???
And the video I was following was how to install homebrew to your home menu. By jack sorrell. Could you please help. Thanks Jpac14

You need a legit game
Pirated games won’t work and it will brick your wii u if you’re trying to install cbhc

For Haxchi or CBHC to work properly, it has to be a legitimately purchased game. Also, if you install CBHC using a pirated NDS game, you will brick your device.

So can do it but I can use cbhc
No, you can't do it at all. You need a legitimately purchased NDS game for it to work.

If you don't want to buy a NDS game, use Mocha with the web browser exploit each time you want to run CFW. You don't actually need Haxchi. It's just convenient.

So if I don’t use cbhc then it will brick my system but I can just power off then back on and it won’t be bricked. And then remove hiaxchi.

regular haxchi won't even work. cbhc leads to a brick. unplugging the power cable won't fix it.

If you don't have even a basic understanding on a simple conceptual level of the DRM you're trying to circumvent and the exploits you're trying to use to do it, you probably shouldn't be trying to mod stuff. "hey can I use a program that will fail DRM checks before it can run to bypass future DRM checks? Can I boot that program on startup even though the system will crash when it inevitably fails due to DRM?"

You can. In the same sense that you can throw yourself headfirst off of a cliff.
