All games that didnt work with my Wiikey, works when you boot it in gecko OS. Damn why didnt I know of this before? Is gecko OS new or been around for a time?

It basically makes it 99.99% region free

QUOTE(SectionX @ Dec 26 2008, 12:24 PM) do you need to patch it with brickblocker when you load it in gecko os?
No.

cool. Does it works as well on other modchips as wiikey though?
Yes. And on things without modchips.

holy shit, so you dont need a modchip at all to run backups?

lol, but you need Gamma or SoftChip for this.
Yeah.

For region free you don't need modchip.

Gamma is basically GeckoOS with backup loading and different colors and graphics at the main menu and it reboots into IOS249.

SoftChip is completely written from scratch, my preferred backup loader.

Can anyone give me a link to a .wad file injected with Gecko OS so I can install it as a channel on my Wii?

Can you spend yourself a minute to search for "Gecko OS wad"?

I'm sorry, but I've made a topic awhile ago and I think dj dynamite has too. It's all about custom channnels and apparently Gecko OS is one of them.

I was expecting noobs to ask that question but it appears that I am wrong..

Sorry for the rant, just can't believe what am I looking at right now.

If you are already in this forum where both backup loaders were "born" and you ask this question, nobody is able to help.

Well, I got one from DJDynamite and it didn't work on my Wii, that's why I'm asking here.
