Hacking GCOS Update

I was just visiting TehSkeen to see what's new there, and by golly there is (almost) something new. Emu_kidid has let out some of the features of the next multi-game GCOS. It is quite an impressive list of things I've been craving.

He has worked with the Wiikey folks and they included his stuff on their v1.2 config disc. Apparently, they are still cooperating, as he's incorporating DVD9 support and, "you'll need to update your Wiikey with the latest software which is scheduled to hit soon" to use it. I guess they just don't care about keeping their web site intact, but continue to do their own work nonetheless.

"Soon" can't be here soon enough.

I was just wondering earlier whether GCOS supported dual-layer discs (but I didn't feel like trying, 2.4x is a bit of a downer). Glad to hear that it'll be a feature.
