I've tried GameYOB, mGBA and Gambette (Retroarch). So far the best is Gambette but the fps really drops at times like the intro scene in Links Awakening DX or whenever a dialogue window is shown in Harry Potter...

Is there an optimal solution for GBC emulation (not VC injects) for the old 3ds?

Mgba is a gba emulator, not a gbc one

Just use twilight menu
WRONG

"How good is compatibility?

mGBA emulates two platforms currently, with the work-in-progress medusa version supporting a third:

Game Boy Advance emulation is currently very good. There are known bugs and a small handful of games that don’t boot.

Game Boy/Game Boy Color emulation is good. Most games work but there are still plenty of bugs. Please file a bug if you find a game that doesn’t boot.

DS support is very early and only available in the medusa branch, which is not under active development at the moment."

No, mgba can emulate GB and GBC and Twilight menu uses a version of GameYOB and both perform worse than Gambette
In that case. You got either vc injects. I know ya said ya didnt want those. Or, gambette. Use whatever of them runs it best for you.

Well... I guess I was wrong.
