yes thats one thing why i hardly post here, when i have a question i get often called stupid noob and such and that i should learn how to use a forum cuz i "only" have little bit more than 1000 posts ... still i am registred since 04 and was even here before.

Everything changes all the time

Now whether the change is for the best or for worse it's your opinion.
People usually say things were better before, it's kinda commonplace...

The OP was pointing out the technical minded-ness of the past and present members. Yes this is "different" but don't act like it's just old people complaining because things inevitably change. There is a very real change in the demographic of the traffic here, posting or otherwise.

I remember this when it was all fields….

I have been around this site for years. Like all forums, the more popular it gets the more idiots/noobs it attracts but you will always have the long-time posters and the people committed to making this a place where you can express yourself and exchange information. This site has grown, the forums have expanded and the community involvement is at an all-time high, what with the blogs, the Homebrew bounties, tutorials, reviews and articles. If the site is to grow then you have to put up with the negatives as well as the positives, as far as I am concerned the positives far and away outweigh the negatives. It’s a community website, its only as good as what you/we put in, if that means I have to put up with a stupid post every now and again, I can live with that, I have put up with worse in my life.

If you don’t let things grow then they become stale and boring, if you let them grow they will change and morph over time, whichever way you look at it if you preferred the site at a period in time, it would have either become boring or it would have changed anyway, either way you would be posting the same blog entry, if you think back, without the changes, you wouldn’t have a place to even make the blog entry.

So cheer up, it’s still the best place to go for a quick chat, read news and forums on the subject you love, me I hope it’s here for many more years, I know I will be.
