Hardware GBA with AGS-001 screen

Hi,

I'm planning to mod my GBA with Gameboy advance SP 001 screen (older one). Since everyone is using model 101, makes me think if 001 is compatible with GBA. So, is it possible to mod GBA with older, not so bright screen of Gameboy advance sp 001? And also is it worth to do it?

It is possible, here is a thread where some people have successfully put the AGS-001 screen on an original GBA.

Just make sure to get the proper custom cable for that, otherwise you'll burn the LEDs. There is a seller on Ebay who makes them.
