So I've been scrambling trying to get GBA games working with the most recent Rxtools and no matter what I've read or done its won't start (the "3DS has an error. Power off" error). My sysnand/emunand are unlinked I believe, I've installed the games to both nands with FBI & using BBM. My emunand is at the latest version as well. Can anyone help me out here...

Install games only to SD for both, never to NAND.
The AGB patch is installed to NAND for SysNAND.

Ok I think I see the problem here based on how you asked that question. I thought in FBI when I install to NAND I was installing to Sysnand and SD was my Emunand but I can now see that is not the case.

So if I am right about this then I need to install FBI on my Sysnand using Rxtools, however I tried this before and even though Rxtools said the process was successful the Heath & Safety app still doesn't go to FBI (even though it will in Emunand)

That's the problem. When you install stuff using FBI it allows you to install stuff both to NAND or SD card. This doesn't mean sysnand vs emunand.

NAND is the 3DS' internal memory, only system titles and DSiware should ever be installed here.

SD is where every game and app should be installed.

Ah! I see...this is probably why it never worked for me in the past. Glad to know I haven't fucked up my NAND or anything. Well Imma figure out getting FBI on my Sysnand and hopefully I can figure it out. Thank you

Is it possible to link NANDS back together so you wont have to worry about installing something/gba games only to sysnand? When the nands are linked it installs to both and you can just play them in emunand i think.

just what should be done man :P

If you ever do this, games usually display as a black box and are unusable. Even if they display they won't be usable.
(Just like sysupdater :P)

You would have to manually delete the titles using FBI and reinstall then in the correct place.

So correctly installing them would be done by booting into sysnand rxmode, opening fbi, installing the cia to NAND and SDcard?

The only way is to format emunand again an start from scratch.

Sysnand changed when you unlinked them and the only way to make them the same is getting emunand where sysnand is (not the opposite).

Boot FBI in sysnand and install in SD only.
Boot FBI/BBM in emunand and install in SD only.

Only system titles and DSiware should ever be installed in NAND destination.

you can extract your sysnand's movable.sed and inject it to your emunand.

Of course the emunand's SD card games and saves will become unusable.

Might as well just format emunand again. Easier and cleaner (While backing up any other files of course).

I got it to work....I couldn't inject FBI with RxTools, but I forgot I still had Cubic Ninja so I went that route and everything is working fine. I thought I linked my Sysnand a long while ago for this propose but I guess not. Also I am glad someone mentioned the black boxes cause I have them and I figured it was a result of my fuck up.

So just in case I need to know how to....What are the prerequisites to play DSiware
