Connect orginal Gameboy hardware to the internet through a web browser with GB-Link USB I am happy to share a hardware project I have been working on the past few years that allows your Game Boy to connect to the internet through your web browser on desktop or android with no software install required on the host device. Also supports sending multiboot homebrew from a web browser and dumping GB/GBC roms and restoring saves. Supports emulating GB Printer to print images from GB Camera as well as supported GB-Printer games. I developed the v2 hardware out of a need for better accessibility/availability as well as new QOL features. All aspects of the project are open source and as this is an rp2040 board you can also diy your own adapter with a pi-pico and a link cable. I searched for days and gameboy SP is not cheap, especially the backlit ones but even I think I will be okay with frontlit because my eyes are very sensitive and i play on low brightnes always.

I will wait for Everdrive if I get a SP but if the other models like K1 can have emulation and offer better performance then its far less expensive and perhaps better

i never imagined wit would be difficult to choose a gameboy + flash cart but it is. plus addtionally I really want an orange colored one lol

Backlit is amazingly better than frontlit. Also upgrading is not easy, just saying.
