maybe the missing wire that lights the backlight is the cause?
Are you sure you have a moded agb?

Yes im sure. Its lit up, its just on the lowest brightness setting. The only thing connecting the screen to the PCB is the converter ribbon cable.maybe the missing wire that lights the backlight is the cause?

Is there anyone who knows how to help and not ask me if im sure I have a modded system...? (Ive been asked that like 3 times... Trust me, I know the difference.) Just to clarify, Its and AGB-001 Original GBA system with a BACKLIT AGS-101 screen with no soldering and is on the lowest brightness setting. Id like to know if there is a way to manually adjust the brightness without a switch installed. (And no, adjusting the pot doesn't help.)
So, he took the screen from an AGS-101 backlit SP, and put it in an original GBA??? What a waste.
Well there isn't anything to take a picture of. The GBA is assembled just like any other GBA, just the with a AGS-101 screen. I have two GBAs (One is modded and the other isnt) and they are both assembled exactly the same. Can you post pictures of everything so we can better help?
No its a little different. Here, I'll send a better pic of just the adapter.
So if I connect a wire there and then solder it to the highest brightness point, it will work?yes. it is conected to the same pin
Ok thank you =D Now all I need to know is which point is the brightest. Is it the left prong of the "Y" shaped thing on the right side of the PCB?it should yes, if it doesn't maybe your adaptor could be defective, now only soldering a wire to each place can tell
I already have that lol I just didnt know if that was the brightest point.http://rosecoloredgaming.files.wordpress.com/2012/12/rcg-gba-light-manual.pdf page 6 no switch tuturial part
