Hacking Gateway or Sky3DS+

Hi All,

First time poster, but long time stalker here!

I've decided to jump into the 3DS hacking scene as I did during the DS era (mainly so I can play randomisers and ROM Hacks - but that's by the by). I've been looking at both the Gateway 3DS and Sky3DS+ flashcards and both seem to have their own pros and cons, but I was hoping you lovely people could advise me with your personal experiences as to which one I should spend my money on.

(Also, would a 64GB SDXC MicroSD card work with both of these flashcards? I know that some prefer SDHC rather than SDXC)

Also, my 3DS's details are:

New Nintendo 3DS
Firmware: 10.3.-28E.

Interesting. XD Any riveting reason as to why I should spend my money on both flashcards? I mean, seems excessive. Haha.

Normally I would say Sky3ds+ but its about to become extremely irrelevent very soon so sit tight on that firmware and see what happens in the scene.

dont use a flashcart, just use custom firmware. It's free after all. Just wait for them to finish the exploit and release it.

lol. I think you meant you're a long time lurker, not stalker

Anyway, you might wait for 10.3 support to come out. Given how limited Sky's functionality is, you're better off with GW or CFW. Though you may need a Sky to install the exploit, unless you can track down a Cubic Ninja cart or get someone to lend you a Sky or CN.

Wont be needed Memchunkhax2 will allow downgrading from the current firmware until it gets patched.

I assume I'd have to use Memchunkhax2's downgrade (when it becomes available to me), but how does CFW beat the flashcards in regards to playing ROMs etc.?

Everything a Gateway card can do and then some besides native .3DS loading and everything a sky card wishes it could do.
