Hacking Gateway likes to crash on boot

I'm on 9.0 on New and at least two out of three times when I boot Gateway through nds profile it crashes. Dragon pops up and then the screen goes black and stays black. After that I have to hold down the power button to turn it off and that's never cool to do. Is it just buggy?

Interestingly enough that never happens with my New 3DS and the ds profile exploit, but it does happen as you say at least 2/3 times with my old 3DS through the spider exploit. very annoying

I noticed its much less likely to happen if you hold L, wait a bit, then manually choose 'Boot Gateway mode'

This is why the launcher is still in beta
However, it works at least 2/3 of the time for me. If I try to launch NTR-CFW afterwards then that success rate drops to 25% though.
