Hacking gateway issues?

so ive had gateway for awhile, stopped using my 3ds for a long time, came back today, started a fresh emunand, 4.1ish, cant load mario and luigi superstar sega. its stuck on the nintendo 3ds load screen after selecting the the cart. i would update but i know the latest firmware isnt supported and idk the best way to update emunand without using the internet. advice? i tried more than 1 SD card, one I used previously. i ran diagnostics, that is good

1. Get the latest launcher.dat
2. Get a Yoshi Wooly World rom
3. Boot Gateway without the cartridge inserted
4. Insert it after the Gateway menu appears
5. Go to the boot Gateway mode option (don't select it yet)
6. Hold up on the D-pad
7. Select the option
8. Try to play Yoshi
9. You will be updated to 11.2, which is the highest version you can have Gateway emuNAND on.

thank you, i couldve done more research but i just dont have time anymore. plus gateway is getting outdated it seems
i even installed as a cia and it wouldnt load.

Yeah your version is too low. Should work after updating.

main issue is that i scrapped my old emunand awhile back, I was going to trade in my O3ds since anything new will come out on the N3ds, but superstar sega is one of my favorite games and I can play it so im taking advantage of it.
